Life in Brookdale Subdivision

Location, Location... You know the rest
Situated in the heart of St. Louis County, Missouri, this quiet subdivision of 218 homes is close to everything, including shopping, dining and entertainment. We're just a few minutes drive from the recently updated Westport Plaza complex, and within biking/walking distance to many shops on Olive Blvd. Being so close to Page Ave. and I-270, as well as Lindbergh and Olive, provides easy access to major highways and arteries.

An original brochure, which features several of our home floor plans, describes Brookdale as the "Best of the World in One Charming Community," and winner of the coveted Good Housekeeping citation of its time. Today our community retains that charm, with many homeowner updates and modern improvements along the way.

Active Community. Endless Opportunities.

As a subdivision, we often participate in neighborhood events, such as National Night Out or regional garage sales. You might keep an eye out for a free ice cream truck in summer, and many homeowners enjoy visits with trick-or-treaters each Halloween. But outside special dates, there's always plenty to do nearby.

St. Louis County offers some great parks, and one of our closest is at Creve Coeur Lake, an excellent area for walking, hiking, cycling, fishing and water recreation, and which is also accessible to the Katy Trail.

We're just 20 minutes from downtown St. Louis, which offers some of the area's finest attractions, many of which are inexpensive or even free.

If you're in the mood for a good read or a movie night, we're just a short drive from St. Louis County Library Headquarters or the Thornhill Branch.

And, of course, in the summer months, don't forget the swimming pool and tennis courts right inside the neighborhood. Year round, subdivision walking is a favorite activity of many residents.

Neighborhood Watch
Even in our peaceful subdivision, we maintain an active Neighborhood Watch and information program especially for residents of Brookdale Plats 1-6. Visit our contact page to learn about signing up.

Local Schools
Brookdale is located in the north area of the Parkway School District, and Craig Elementary School is easily accessible from within the neighborhood.

Subdivision Rules

Brookdale Subdivision has our own board of trustees who help address important issues and promote community within the neighborhood. We also have our own Indenture of Trust and Restrictions, a legal document which outlines our specific subdivision rules. We collect an annual subdivision assessment fee, currently at $150 a year per household, which is utilized to keep our neighborhood running smoothly. This includes the cost of common ground lawn care, street lights and more.
