Neighbors by Ring & Neighborhood Watch

Recommended by Brookdale's Neighborhood Watch and our St. Louis County Police Dept.:

Neighbors by Ring is a Neighborhood Watch app that sends real-time crime and safety notifications directly to your mobile device. The St. Louis County Police have joined the Neighbors by Ring app to share alerts, comment on local issues and help make our communities safe for everyone.  

To join, go to your app store and search for "Neighbors by Ring."  

Please note: Neighbors by Ring is different than the standard Ring app, which may cause some confusion for those trying to join.

Although Neighbors by Ring does not provide exact incident locations due to privacy concerns, each post does say how many miles away the incident was and you can click to access a shaded circle on a map, so you do have some idea of how close each incident is.  

Consider joining Neighbors by Ring as yet another tool we can use to work together to keep our neighborhood safe. 

Current residents of Brookdale Plats 1-6 are also encouraged to join our Neighborhood Watch e-mail list. Simply e-mail your name, address and phone to brookdaleneighborhoodwatch@yahoo.com. Joining this list allows you to follow updates and receive helpful area information, plus provides a direct point of contact should you see anything suspicious in or around our neighborhood. If you see something, say something!

As always, be sure to keep homes and vehicles locked and items secured, close garage doors, especially overnight, and utilize extra home lighting or automatic lights when and where appropriate. Such advice is frequently repeated by our County officers, who often refer to the "9 p.m. Routine" as an encouragement for residents to adopt a nightly security check.
