Waste Connections, Brookdale's present trash service provider, offers three free yard waste pickup dates a year, even for those who do not subscribe to their weekly yard waste service. For 2022, these dates are the third pickup days of April, July and October.
This year, we've also added these dates to our neighborhood calendar for helpful reference.
Pickup Guidelines (per Waste Connections' website):
Use a 30 gallon paper bag for yard waste (available at hardware, home improvement stores). Only put in leaves and yard/grass clippings. If you have longer sticks/branches/limbs, fashion the items into bundles that are no more than 4 feet long and no more than 40 pounds each.
