With our new waste disposal company, Progressive Waste Solutions,
there's been some confusion for many regarding yard waste.
You may sign up for year round yard waste any time, or opt
in for a minimum 3 month pick up period.
The company also offers free pick up days for those not
subscribed. The three free pick up dates in 2017 are: May 15 (past),
August 21 and October 16, the third Monday of each of these months. On each or any of these days you may put
out up to ten yard waste bags or equivalent containers.
Be sure to label any cans used with "YARD WASTE" or
they will not be emptied. This is true for both paid and free
pick ups. Alternately, you may use leaf bags.
As a side note, those 65 or older can get a 10% discount on
all services by informing the company of your age.
