Brookdale Neighborhood Garage Sale, May 9

Our next Neighborhood Garage Sale is scheduled for Saturday, May 9, and everyone in Brookdale is invited to participate! This year, we are also modifying to a NEW timeframe from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. to better reflect the traffic patterns we've seen in recent years.

We are again planning some online promotion to encourage community attendance. You are welcome to promote your own sale independently to help boost traffic as well.

Updated signage will be posted at our main entry points listing the date and timeframe. Of course, feel free to open your garage anytime around the posted hours.

Please remember to plan for heavier traffic and use particular caution driving through the neighborhood during the sale timeframe.

As always, we hope everyone has a great time during this fun community event!

    In the future can we reconsider doing the event on Mother’s Day weekend? Us moms usually want to participate but not on the weekend celebrating us and we may have family in town or are out of town visiting family? We love this event and my family has been looking forward to participating again but we likely won’t be able to this year unfortunately.

      Thanks for your reply. We do vary the date with a number of considerations in mind so it does not always fall on Mother's Day weekend. We've also learned that some families really love to take mom shopping on this weekend too! So there are many different dynamics at play. Thank you again, and we hope you enjoy a great celebration!
